Then I would compare it with known-good system behavior and look for links to other suspicious events. The goal is to quickly tell benign software from a possible compromise.

I would use strong authentication, limit privilege, protect secrets, and make phishing or token theft harder to succeed. I would also add monitoring for abnormal access and enforce session controls so stolen credentials are less useful. Preventing theft is about reducing both capture and reuse.

I would assess the impact, contain the issue if necessary, and work with the owning team to fix the flow quickly. Then I would verify that the data is no longer exposed and review why the design allowed the problem in the first place. A good response solves the immediate issue and improves the pattern behind it.

I would explain the risk in practical terms, show the attack path, and give a concrete fix that fits the product. Engineers usually respond best when the issue is tied to a realistic failure rather than abstract fear. Clear explanation makes it easier to get the right change made quickly.
